Greek police are collecting new evidence to shed light on the circumstances of the serious incident in Athens, where 50-year-old Altin Allmuça killed 45-year-old Julieta Obzova and then committed suicide.
Authorities are trying to determine the relationship between the two people and the motive for the crime.
According to information published by Greek media, Allmuça was married and the father of a child.
His wife is reported to have told authorities that she was unaware of her husband's relationship with the victim.
Police are examining evidence that indicates that there may have been a personal relationship between the 50-year-old man and the 45-year-old woman, while its nature, duration and dynamics have not yet been determined.
As part of the investigation, the police searched Allmuça's apartment in Tavros, looking for evidence that could help shed light on the relationship between them and the preparation of the crime.
The focus is on electronic devices, documents and other items that could help reconstruct his movements before the event.
Also, the cell phones and online activity of the two people are being analyzed to determine if there were any communications, meetings, or conflicts prior to the murder.
According to preliminary investigations, the 50-year-old Albanian is suspected of having set a trap for the 45-year-old and waiting for her outside her daughter's apartment. After shooting her to death, he used the same weapon to end his own life.
