A banal reason is suspected to have caused a massive fight between Albanians on Sunday afternoon in Padua, Italy, where 24-year-old Albert Deda was killed and 2 others were injured.
Two brothers, Ilmi and Klinton Rakipaj, 24 and 19 years old, were arrested for the serious incident, who are accused of murder and attempted murder. They were caught about 12 hours after the crime, while they were trying to escape to Albania.
This Wednesday they are expected to be interrogated and will appear before the court for evaluation of the security measure. On Thursday, an autopsy is expected to be performed on the victim's body, to understand what were the blows that caused his death. As for the two injured, they continue to be in the hospital.
The event in question happened at the entrance of the building where the young Albanians lived. But unlike what was initially suspected, the motives have nothing to do with anything criminal. None of them had criminal records. According to Italian media citing the Carabinieri, the friends got into a fight because of the arrival of a new roommate. This seems to be the main track of the serious event that shook the entire neighborhood of Forcellini on the afternoon of July 23.
Police authorities have also seized the crime weapon, a kitchen knife, which was found inside the apartment where the young people lived, along with other knives used by the suspected perpetrators. After the crime, the Rakipaj brothers had returned home to pack a bag in order to escape, not bothering to hide the knives.
