The mystery of the death of a 21-year-old Albanian in Italy

The tragic event that took the life of 21-year-old Albanian Samir Fermaca in Italy is taking another turn, as new evidence casts doubt on the dynamics of the accident.

Initially, it was thought that everything was clear about how the young man lost his life, but now an eyewitness has come forward, claiming that a second vehicle that fled the scene may have been involved in the accident.

The incident occurred on Saturday morning, June 13, on a roundabout, where the 21-year-old was traveling as a passenger on a motorcycle driven by his 26-year-old cousin.

According to the initial reconstruction, the two young men were leaving the Campagnola traffic lights towards the A4 motorway when they were overtaken by an Audi SUV. While returning to their lane, the driver of the car slightly cut them off.

This prompted the cousin to insult the driver of the SUV and then overtook him from the right. When the vehicle and motorcycle were parallel, the 21-year-old kicked the car's mirror, causing the motorcycle to lose balance.

As a result, he fell to the asphalt and was knocked unconscious, while his cousin got up without injury.

However, prosecutor Giulia Angeleri has raised doubts about the last moments before the young man's death. Until now, based on the testimonies of the cousin and the driver of the SUV, in an area where security cameras are absent, it was believed that the victim had hit his head on the asphalt.

But another witness, who was traveling behind them, claims that a second car passed very close to the 21-year-old as he lay on the road.

For this reason, the prosecution has ordered an autopsy to be performed, to verify whether the other vehicle may have contributed to his death, even by lightly touching him.

The autopsy is expected to be performed in the least invasive way possible, to also allow for the donation of the victim's organs.
