Greek media: Janullatos visits Beleri in prison, gave him spiritual support!
Anastas Janullatos/ Fredi Beleri/ Himara

The Archbishop of Tirana and all of Albania, Anastas Janullatos, visited Fredi Beleri in prison , where he demanded the release of the mayor elected by the May 14 elections.

The Greek media write that Janullato's visit to the prison to meet Beleri includes the following elements:

1- That when a member of the Church is persecuted unjustly, injustice is done to the whole Church.

2- And finally, the restoration of justice and legal order contributes to social settlement and the development of understanding and peaceful relations.

We remind you that Fredi Beleri   was arrested two days before the elections of May 14, where he was also the winner for the Municipality of Himara.

He was imprisoned for passive corruption in the elections, with his associate Pandeli Kokaveshi, while the latter was released at the beginning of June, due to his health.

The lawyers had asked for a lighter measure in the recourse presented to the high court, but the trial panel did not accept their arguments./ Romfea
