Eid al-Fitr, Archbishop Joan visits the Muslim and Bektashi Community

The Archbishop of Tirana, Durrës and All Albania, His Beatitude Joani, this Friday paid congratulatory visits to the headquarters of the Muslim Community of Albania and to the Bektashi World Headquarters, on the occasion of the Feast of Eid al-Fitr.

His Beatitude was first received by the President of the Muslim Community, Mr. Bujar Spahiu, and then by the World Grandfather of the Bektashis, Haxhi Dede Edmond Brahimaj.

During his congratulations, Archbishop Joan emphasized the importance of interreligious coexistence and harmony in Albania.

"We are together as always, both in joys and in all difficulties. Religious harmony is a very great treasure for our country, which we must always preserve, to prove that it is possible to live together, even when we have different faiths", he said.
