The deadline for applications for the position of head of the National Bureau of Investigation ends this Friday.

Currently, 4 candidacies have been submitted for this important position.

According to Euronews Albania, one of the candidates is the former director general of the State Police, Gledis Nano.

After going through several testing phases, the commission established at SPAK is expected to send the name of the candidate selected for appointment as the new head of the BKH to the High Prosecutorial Council.

The term of office of the Director of the Bureau is five years.

Currently, the position of head of the BKH is held by Aida Hajnaj, who will remain in this position until August 31.

The SPAK selection committee consists of SPAK head Altin Dumani and prosecutors Arben Kraja and Behar Dibra.
