A citizen from Korça has returned to his hometown, where he found his apartment stolen. After reporting to the police, the officers were able to identify the perpetrator in record time.

It is about a 37-year-old man with previous criminal records, who, when the police went to his apartment to escort him, slammed the glass door against them, causing him to injure himself while trying to escape. .

The Blues of Korça managed to arrest him, and then sent him to the hospital, to treat the injuries he received during the attempt to leave.

Police notification:

Around 1:00 p.m., at the Korçë Police Station, citizen OC, resident in district no. 3, Korçë, appeared and filed a report, who stated that at noon today, when he returned from Greece, he found that his apartment had been stolen the television, a sum of money and other items.

After the report received from the OC citizen, the investigative team went to the scene.

From the quick investigative actions carried out at the scene and the information received during the operation by the Crime Investigation Specialists, it turned out that the suspected author of the theft was the citizen EB, 37 years old, resident of district no. 3, Korçë, a person previously convicted. for a series of thefts that occurred in Korça during 2021.

Based on these suspicions, the Police services went to the residence of citizen EB, to accompany him to the police station, as a suspect for the theft that occurred.

At the moment when the police services went to the apartment and communicated to the citizen EB, who was going to be accompanied to the police station to be interrogated, this citizen slammed the door breaking the glass of the door and tried to leave through the toilet door, but did not able to leave after being handcuffed by the Police services.

The EB citizen was accompanied to the hospital and received medical assistance after he was injured in the hand by the glass of the door.

At the same time, one of the police officers received medical treatment after being injured by the glass during the handcuffing of the EB citizen.

The EB citizen, after the treatment, was escorted to the Police premises for further procedural actions which are being carried out under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office and the Police Supervision Agency.
