'Mines, C4 and weapons are captured'/ Mega operation with RENEAN,

Two citizens have been arrested by the Police of Shkodër, two are being pursued at large and another has been declared wanted, in the framework of the finalization of the eighth phase of the mega-operation coded "District", where the help of RENEAS and FNSH was also requested.

During the operation, the Police services carried out 8 house inspections in several neighborhoods of the city of Shkodra. As a result of the checks, the following citizens were caught and arrested red-handed:

K., 52 years old, and his son, citizen GK, 20 years old, and the other son, citizen GK, 16 years old, resident of "Guerile" neighborhood, Shkodër, was prosecuted in a free state, due to his age.

In the apartment of these citizens were found and seized as material evidence: 3 remote-controlled mines, connected by telephone, 8 tritol C4 molds, ready for use, with a total weight of 1 kilogram and 600 grams, detonator capsules connected by wires , ready for use, 1 shotgun with 2 necklaces and 50 rounds, 1 police radio, 1 jammer, 3 cell phones and 1 sporting gun.

The operation continued with the control of the apartment of the CM citizen, in which, during the control, the Police services found and seized as material evidence: 1 Kalashnikov firearm, 5 combs with cartridges and another quantity of Kalashnikov cartridges (280 cartridges in total) , 1 TT type pistol firearm, with 7 rounds comb, 20 7.9mm caliber combat rounds, used for sniper rifle, 5 9mm caliber pistol combs with rounds in it, 1 shotgun, 1 Police radio and 2 mobile devices.

Citizen CM, due to his old age, is being prosecuted at large, while his son, citizen IM, 45 years old, has been declared wanted, since he was not found in the apartment at the time of the search.

In total, during the checks carried out in the apartments, as part of the 8th phase of this mega-operation, the following were seized: 2 firearms, 3 remote-controlled mines, 1 kilogram and 600 grams of C4 explosives, 2 shotguns, 1 sporting weapon, 1 jammers, 2 Police-style radios and various types of ammunition.

The seized weapons will be sent to the Scientific Police Institute, for further examination, as they are suspected to have been used in criminal events that occurred previously in the Shkodër district, but not only.
