"Lear was smart, he read a lot of books", Lear's sister Kurti

The death of 32-year-old Lear Kurti shocked public opinion quite a bit, and although several days have passed, the circumstances of his death are still shrouded in many questions.

The sister from the father, Silvi, spoke today on the show "With an open heart" of the journalist Evis Ahmeti on News24 about their relationship and the conversations that, as she says, were long recently.

How did you learn of Lear's death?
I learned about it on the news. They said to me "have you seen your brother?" Then I talked to Lear's friends and they told me he was dead. I then spoke to Mira (Lear's mother) and the family.

Who was your last communication before October 19?

What did you discuss?

We had discussed about children, about work. We had a conversation like every day. We talked about how we were doing. I have two chicks and he is an uncle.

How was his relationship with his nieces?
Very good. We were talking to the camera. Lear was very loving, he was very happy for my girls. He was always talking into the camera.

Even a week ago when you spoke, the main topic of conversation were the nieces?
Yes, as always.

How was your childhood?
We have a very special and very complicated history. I spoke with Lear when "FB" and "Instagram" came out. I was 14-15 years old and Lear really enjoyed having his family around. Since he was alone, he was very eager to talk to me. I found out when I was 14 years old. Then it was a long time since I was at school. A few months ago we talked a lot, day after day. We could talk for 2-3 hours a day.

Do you have beautiful memories even though you met each other very late?
Yes, yes very much.

How was Lear's relationship with his father?

He told me that he didn't have much of a relationship with his father, but he was his father and he loved him. He didn't see Lear every day. Leari lived with Fatmir. The father is no longer alive.

Did you talk to your father often about Lear?

Not that much. We didn't live with dad. I lived when I was very young and I don't remember.

What happened to your father?

I do not know. My family told me that your father is dead. I read in a newspaper that someone had killed him. I can't tell you many things about Dad.

Did you talk to Lear about your father's death?

Yes, but he didn't know either.

What did Lear's friends say to you?

I was told that Leari has lost his life.

When you were talking at length, what concerns did Lear have? Was it working?

Lear was very smart, he read a lot of books. He had found a job in France and was coming to France.

Did you know there was a legal problem?

No, we haven't talked. He told me that someone had offered him a job in construction outside Albania.

Was he a drug user?

I didn't live with Lear, I only saw him on camera. I have never seen him in any bad condition like people who take narcotics.

How long has it been since your father passed away?

I was 16, now I'm 27.
