Long queues and delays are being reported at the Greek-Albanian border crossing point of Mavromatis, where citizens and vehicles have been forced to wait over three hours to enter Albania. The queues stretch up to 2 kilometers, mainly on the segment coming from the Greek side towards the border crossing point.

High temperatures, at the height of the day, are significantly making the situation difficult for travelers, including families with children, the elderly, and tourists returning to the country for summer vacations.

At the Qafë Bota border crossing, the Albanian authorities are working with 3 active counters, while the Greek side operates with only 2 counters.
