New details have emerged from the discovery of the weapons depot in the garage of a building, on "Peti" street at Dry Lake, where 27-year-old Eno Papa (Beqiri) was arrested.
Sources suggest that the weapons belonged to a powerful criminal group operating in Central Albania. Sources from the investigation suggest that the seized weapons, some of which were modified and adapted as sniper with optical targets, would be used for mafia executions.
The same sources suggest that the discovery of this arsenal of weapons may lead to the uncovering of several assassinations or assassination attempts that have been recorded in recent years. The seized weapons were sent to the expertise laboratory not only to find out if these weapons were used in criminal events, but also to find fingerprints or DNA traces of other persons on the seized weapons.
It is also learned that the seized mobile phones and laptop of Eno Papa (Beqiri) were sent for expertise, in the hope of uncovering the criminal activity of other persons involved. Investigators are conducting intensive investigations to identify other persons behind this criminal activity, as the detainee is not the only one involved.
Official sources reported that during the control exercised in the garage rented by Eno Papa Beqiri, the police found: 2 snipers (one of them a product of recent years), 4 Kalashnikov firearms, 2 automatic firearms, 4 pistol firearms silencer, 85 packages of ammunition of various calibers, different parts of weapons, optical sights for precision weapons (sniper), a considerable amount of weapon combs, three TNT molds, quantity of suspected explosives, 2 pairs of electric briefcases for concealment of license plates and 5 wigs.
