"I lost the mafia drugs, now give me asylum"

An Albanian drug trafficker living illegally in Spain has sought asylum from local authorities.

His reasoning for seeking asylum surprised the Spanish authorities: he stated that he was afraid of being killed by the Albanian mafia, of which he had been a member in the past.

The emigrant claims that he received threats from an Albanian mobster in Sweden, while the latter accused him of damage amounting to 35 thousand euros, as the Albanian did not successfully send narcotics to Scandinavian countries.

According to Spanish media, the Albanian is afraid to return to Albania.

However, his asylum application was rejected by the Spanish authorities, as he did not meet the legal requirements.
