In the Special Court, the appeal session was held this Saturday for the granting of the security measure for the 15 detained a few weeks ago for the Tirana incinerator case.

In today's session, it was decided that the security measure "arrest in prison" will remain in effect for most of the arrested.

Pëllumb Abeshi was also sentenced to prison and was initially placed under the security measure of "house arrest".

The Special Court of Appeal for Corruption and Organized Crime, with a monocratic panel composed of judge Dhimitër Lara, today, 27.01.2024, announced the decision on criminal case no. 5 act, date 19.01.2024 registration, on the appeal of the Special Prosecution against Corruption and Organized Crime, as well as the appeals of persons under investigation A.Th., BK, LK, NS, SK, ST, TT, PA, with object : "Appeal against decision no. 134, dated 07.12.2023, continued with decision no. 136, dated 11.12.2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for Corruption and Organized Crime" that has disposed of cases of personal security measures, and decided:

1. The amendment of decision no. 134 dated 07/12/2023 and no. 136 dated 11/12/2023
of the Special Court of First Instance for corruption and organized crime by:
-Setting the measure of restrictive personal insurance 'arrest in prison' according to article 238
of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to the investigated zPA, i son Mr. H. and Mrs. F., born on {…}, in {…} and resident in {…}.
2. Approval of decision no. 134 dated 07/12/2023 and no. 136 date 11/12/2023 of the Special Court of First Instance for corruption and organized crime for the investigated Mr. LK, zTT, z. NS, Mr. BK, Mrs. ST, Mrs. A.Th., Mrs. SK
