The weekend has brought another increase in movements at the Morina Border Crossing, where thousands of citizens are crossing into Albania to enjoy summer holidays on the coast.
According to data from border authorities, during the last 24 hours, 26,921 citizens have entered and exited between Kosovo and Albania with around 8,022 vehicles.
14,564 citizens entered Albanian territory with 4,233 vehicles, while 12,357 citizens left with 3,899 vehicles.
The main destination of travelers remains the Albanian coast, while many of them say they have chosen to spend their weekends or summer vacations in our country.
Faced with the high flow, the Morina Border Crossing is operating with 12 entry and exit counters. The accelerated control procedure, implemented based on the free movement agreement between Albania and Kosovo, has enabled the avoidance of queues and the rapid passage of travelers.
Authorities predict that the flow will remain high in the coming days, as the tourist season is entering its peak and the number of vacationers heading to the Albanian coast continues to increase.
