The village of Vidhishte in Roskovec woke up today in silence, amidst pain and tears for two residents who tragically lost their lives the day before, as a result of gunfire from their daughter's ex-son-in-law or ex-partner.

Arben Plaka passed away in his home in the early hours of Friday morning when he was shot by Nertil Buzi, while his wife Burbuqe Plaka (also called Lela) was seriously injured.

She fought for more than 12 hours in the hospital, but unfortunately in the evening hours, doctors confirmed her death.

Nertil Buzi alias Refit Buzi also took hostage their daughter, Rozalinda, with whom he had been in a troubled relationship, but released her around noon thanks to police negotiations.

RENEA tried for several hours to keep him alive and negotiate the 35-year-old's surrender, but he constantly cried and threatened to kill himself.

At around 4:30 PM, several successive negotiations failed and Nertil Buzi killed himself.
