Tirana police have arrested a 37-year-old man, owner of a car repair shop in the Astir area, suspected of fraud.

The 37-year-old has been receiving payments for vehicle repairs without performing the service, while in some cases he has also attempted to sell the vehicles that were left in the service. So far, the police have documented 6 cases and 5 vehicles have been seized.

The operation codenamed "Scheme" is finalized by Commissariat No. 6.

6 cases of this criminal activity, committed by this citizen, are documented.

The arrested person, in addition to not repairing the vehicles for which he was paid, has on several occasions attempted to sell them.

5 vehicles were seized from the subject's premises, which were left in the custody of their owners.

As a result of investigative and procedural actions, carried out immediately after reports from several citizens that their vehicles had not been repaired, despite having paid the money to the owner of a subject in this field, in the area called "Astiri", the Crime Investigation specialists of Police Commissariat No. 6 finalized the operation codenamed "Scheme".

As part of the operation, the citizen suspected of the criminal offense of "Fraud", MH, 37 years old, was arrested, and 6 cases of this criminal activity were documented. In addition to fraud, the investigations suspect that in several cases, the 37-year-old has attempted to sell vehicles that were left to him for repair.

Work is underway to document other cases in this area that may have been committed by citizen MH.

The procedural materials were referred to the Tirana Prosecutor's Office for further action.
