A 66-year-old man was handcuffed in Tirana , after locking his wife in the house with his grandchildren and threatening them with an ax not to inform the police .

Within the last 12 hours, another criminal event in the family was prevented, thanks to the timely intervention and professional actions of the DVP Tirana structures.

A citizen is caught and put in handcuffs, after he had used violence against his wife and yesterday evening, he had locked her in the apartment, together with his family members, threatening to kill them with a cutting tool (axe).

Services of Police Station No. 3, after receiving the notification about a citizen who had locked himself in the apartment, his family members (wife and grandchildren), on "Pavarësia" street, immediately organized the work to prevent a possible criminal event, the full legal documentation of the case and bringing the suspected perpetrator to criminal responsibility.

As a result of quick actions, a RS citizen, 66 years old, living in Tirana, was arrested in the act .
