A young man detained today for theft has ended his life by committing suicide at the Kavaja Police Station.

The victim is 31-year-old Ilvi Meta.

He was detained today around 15:50 after the Court had imposed on him the security measure "Prison arrest", for theft.

Agim Meta, the father of the suicide at the Kavaja police station, Ivli Meta, said that the boy was accused of stealing an aluminum door while he was accusing the police.

"The dog policeman took the boy in the morning and accused him of stealing an aluminum door.

"They did not tell me anything, I will find out", the victim's father is said to have told the media.
