A serious criminal event was prevented by police in Vlora, while two people were handcuffed and two remote-controlled mines were seized.

Police say the arrested are his uncle and nephew, aged 33 and 19, one with a residence in Burrel and the other in Laç.

During the search of their car at the entrance to Vlora, police found two remote-controlled mines in the crossroads programmed to explode from a distance.

The police operation codenamed "Knock Out 2" is finalized, developed by the investigative structures of Vlora DVP, in cooperation with the Himare Police Station.

They are caught in the head and handcuffed 2 citizens (uncle and nephew), who had hidden the mines, in the crook of the vehicle they were moving with.

Two days ago, the Vlora Police prevented another serious criminal event and handcuffed a citizen moving with a pistol with a silencing pistol, with gloves and hood, in the bag.

Following the intensive work of Vlora Police, to guarantee the rule of law in all the territory of the district, to prevent criminal events, as well as to bring before criminal responsibility, citizens who are a potential risk to public order and security, investigative structures of the Local Police Directorate of Vlora, in cooperation with himare Police Commissioner and supported by police intelligence, They have finalized operation codenamed "Knock Out 2", as a result of which the citizens were arrested in the flagrant:

F. Gj., 33, resident in Burrel and E. Gj., 19, resident in Laç (uncle and nephew).

Police services, at the entrance of Vlora city, stopped the vehicle with which the two arrested were moving. During the detailed search, in the car's cross-body, two remote control mines were found and seized in the quality of material evidence, 2 remotely programmed explosive mines (equipped with mobile devices and detonator caps), which were suspected to be used for the conduct of serious criminal events.

Further investigative actions follow, in the direction of the Prosecution office at the Court of First Instance of General Jurisdiction Vlora, to legally document the purpose of these 2 citizens, as well as to apprehend 2 other alleged subjects involved in this case.

The procedurale materials were passed to the Prosecution at the Court of first instance of the General Jurisdiction Vlora, for further action.
