New details from the death of the 28-year-old woman who died after a surgical intervention at the private American hospital 2 in Tirana.

The 28-year-old, Irida Hasalla , had undergone  liposuction surgery, or fat removal .

The family members reported to the police for negligent treatment, the brother says they paid 2 thousand euros

"He did an operation that he was not allowed to do because he was being treated in Belgium for cancer," the brother declared.

The Police of Tirana informs today that under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, an investigative team has been set up and the first procedural actions have been carried out, such as the autopsy, the questioning of family members, the questioning of the doctors and the anesthetist who participated in the operation.

Police notification:

Yesterday, on 30.01.2024, a notification was received that in a private hospital, after an operation, the citizen IH, 28 years old, living in Tirana, died. 

After receiving the notification, under the direction of the Prosecutor's Office, the investigation group was set up and the first procedural actions were carried out, such as the autopsy, the questioning of the family members, the questioning of the doctors and the anesthetist who participated in the operation. 

The materials will be handed over to the Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of the General Jurisdiction in Tirana, for further procedural actions.

What is Liposuction?
