The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, publishing a letter from SPAK, says that Deputy Prime Minister Belinda Balluku is under investigation.

Publishing a response from SPAK head Altin Dumani to his complaint about the Zadeja dam, the prosecution institution says it has registered criminal proceedings and is investigating the matter.

Bardhi's reaction:

The photovoltaic plant at the Zadeja Dam worth 8 million euros is a corrupt affair for which I have filed a criminal report and SPAK has officially registered criminal proceedings no. 226/2024. This proceeding is the fourth in a row to be registered for Belinda Balluku, in addition to criminal proceedings for the Llogara tunnel, the sale and purchase of energy by KESH sh.a. and the two "tigers" of Vlora.

After Erion Veliaj, now dismissed from the post of Mayor of Tirana, arrested and charged with corruption, money laundering and concealment of income, Edi Rama has entrusted the political leadership of Tirana to another symbol of high corruption, abuse of office and illegal enrichment. Corruption, abuse and illegality are Edi Rama's only offer to the citizens of Tirana, just like he himself did when he was mayor.

Keeping Belinda Balluku in government, promoting her people in power and recently appointing her as the political leader of Tirana, accompanied by direct threats to prosecutors by criminal groups, is intended to build a shield of impunity around her. It is now up to SPAK prosecutors to prove whether they have the strength to break this shield and punish the corrupt affairs of Belinda Balluku and her clan. Otherwise, the prosecutors will have to admit that the political shield and threats have worked, and they have succumbed.
