Another internationally wanted person has fallen into the hands of the State Police, as part of operations conducted by the Search Sector (FAST Albania), at the Directorate of the Special Operational Force.

The police announce that a 26-year-old man known as Spartak Berisha , who is internationally wanted for the criminal offense of " Participation in a criminal organization with the aim of trafficking narcotics ", has been located, captured and provisionally arrested, with the aim of extradition to Italy.

Citizen Spartak Berisha was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Brescia, Italy, imposed the security measure "Arrest in prison" on him for the charge of participating in a criminal organization for the purpose of drug trafficking, a criminal offense provided for by the Italian Criminal Code.

According to Italian authorities, this criminal offense carries a maximum sentence of up to 24 years in prison.

Currently, Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, is continuing legal procedures for the extradition of the 26-year-old to Italy.

Another phase of the police operation codenamed "Fast" is being finalized by the Investigation Sector (FAST Albania), at the Directorate of the Special Operational Force.

A 26-year-old man, wanted internationally for participation in a criminal organization for the purpose of drug trafficking, is located, captured and placed in handcuffs, with the aim of extradition to Italy.

Following the successive operations carried out by the operational services of the Search Sector (FAST Albania), at the Directorate of the Special Operational Force, for the localization and capture of citizens declared internationally wanted, another phase of the police operation codenamed "Fast" has been finalized.

As a result of this operation, specialists from the Investigation Sector (FAST Albania), in cooperation with the operational structures of the Durrës DVP and the Kavajë Police Commissariat, located in Kavajë and provisionally arrested, with the aim of extradition to Italy, the citizen:

SB, 26 years old, resident of Kavaja.

This citizen was declared internationally wanted by Interpol Rome, after the Court of Brescia, Italy, assigned him the security measure "Arrest in prison", for the criminal offense "Participation in a criminal organization with the aim of trafficking narcotics", provided for by the Italian Criminal Code. This criminal offense carries a maximum sentence of up to 24 years in prison.

The investigations show that the 26-year-old, as a member of a criminal organization composed mainly of Albanian citizens, but also of some Italian citizens, in collaboration with other members of this organization, trafficked narcotics, with the aim of distributing them in several areas of Italy.

Interpol Tirana, in cooperation with Interpol Rome, is continuing the procedures for the extradition of the 26-year-old to Italy.
