The houses in Gojan, Puka are no longer safe.
The fires burned down several houses, fortunately without any injuries. As the flames approached, evacuation orders were issued, but the residents stayed until the last minutes, taking only a few belongings with them and then running away to save their lives.
The police intervened to save the residents.
"Move everyone, out, out!" are the police's cries.
"The house is on fire. I'm going downstairs, but I can't leave without securing the house. I'm going down to the center, but I'll come back here," said a resident.
For them, temporary shelter will be the Puka city dormitory, where they will be provided with food and health services, according to authorities.
Meanwhile, work continues to extinguish the flames in Gojan. Dozens of firefighters and army personnel are on the ground, while helicopters are dropping water from the air in areas that are difficult to reach.
So far, the causes of the fires are not clear, but the mayor of Puka does not rule out the possibility that they were intentional.
