Serious accident at "Driver's Rest"

A serious accident occurred at the place called "Driver's Rest" on the Lushnje-Fier highway.

A Volkswagen type vehicle collided with a van carrying passengers heading south.

The van swerved to avoid colliding with the car and crashed into the iron barriers of the highway.

Several passengers in the van were injured in the violent collision, but only two of them were transported by ambulance to the hospital for medical attention.

Police are at the scene to document and clarify the circumstances of the accident and regulate traffic.

The "Driver's Rest" intersection, although it is a traffic black spot and produces many accidents, has not seen any repairs or improvements by the Albanian road authority.
