The 26-year-old from Zocco di Erbusco in Italy lost her life on the night between August 18 and 19 along with her newlywed husband and a 15-year-old son, possibly due to the speed of the car.
The grief over the death of Sara Brugnatelli, 26, from Zocco di Erbusco, victim of a road accident on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday, in which her partner Kleo Vrioni, 25, and a 15-year-old boy also lost their lives, is spreading from Albania to Italy. Two other passengers, aged 25 and 16, were injured.
In Erbusco, friends and acquaintances are close to the young girl's family. The parish priest of Zocco, Don Bruno Colosio, describes a girl "in love with life and with horses, her great passion. She had a great desire to live and was very attached to her father," whom she cared for after he was ill.
Sara had lived in Zocco since 2005, but recently spent part of her life at Kleo Vrion's house in Ponte San Pietro, in the Bergamo area, where the 25-year-old worked as a bricklayer. In those areas, she had also found work as a saleswoman in a pet shop.
The circumstances of the marriage remain to be clarified: Albanian news sites report that Sara and Kleo may have been married on Sunday, August 16, just three days before the accident.
The 26-year-old's family, however, has stated that they were not informed about the marriage and are therefore trying to verify what happened. The hypothesis is that the two young people were married in Albania, Vrion's country of origin, in a private ceremony, a circumstance that has yet to be confirmed.
Meanwhile, investigations into the dynamics of the accident continue: a video published by Albanian media shows the BMW driven by Vrioni passing into view at high speed, raising a cloud of dust and then losing control, crashing into a concrete structure and ultimately overturning.
The accident occurred shortly after 2 a.m. on a secondary road in Manza, in the territory of Durrës and 30 kilometers from the capital Tirana. The five people, according to the reconstruction of the event, were returning from a bar where they had spent the evening.
Among the possible causes of the collision would be precisely the high speed: according to a first analysis of the video, the car may have been moving at around 114 kilometers per hour, an estimate that must be verified by technical investigations.
Meanwhile, the return of Sara Brugnatelli's body is expected in Zocco, after the completion of the necessary verifications and procedures in Albania.
The final farewell ceremony will then take place, but its date has not yet been set. ( Corriere della Sera )
