An investigation by SHISH that has set in motion the SPAK in connection with an espionage cell in the service of unfriendly agencies has shocked the local public opinion as it is the first time that Albania faces such situations, at least publicly.
SPAK had launched investigations into the investigation of 4 former officials of the State Intelligence Service and one of the State Police, suspected of leaking secret information that harms the interests of the Albanian state.
More specifically, it is about Frederik Ymeri, Gjergji Koti, Bashkim Abazi, Luftar Cunaj and Maksim Ferra .
Frederik Ymeri, a former senior official of SHISH is considered the head of the espionage cell and coordinated the group in question by providing confidential and secret information from administration institutions.
Gazeta Express in Albania has revealed that the former senior official of SHISH, exactly Frederik Ymeri is the father of a senior official of the Albanian administration.
It is about the Agency for the Provision of Integrated Services (ADISA), an institution run by Frederik Ymeri's son, Lorin Ymeri.
The latter has been in charge of the institution for four years, until a few weeks ago, almost all the services offered by the Albanian administration, starting from building permits, various certificates, everything about pensions, social security, various payments, administration of territory to data on the army.
ADISA has enabled all services to citizens by administering all the "secrets" of the Albanian state and the citizens of this country until May 1 of this year, the day on which its counters were closed as everything is now offered by e-Albania. So, until May 1, ADISA has administered the entire database that e-Albania has today.
SPAK says that so far, from the investigation, no concrete data have been obtained regarding the final destination of this information, but it is suspected that this activity violates national security in the form of espionage.
However, the responsible institutions need to verify whether or not the cell in question had access to the ADISA database, which in fact administered all the information relating to each Albanian citizen as well as any document on the institutions. public of this country.
Given that the person described by SHISH as the head of this espionage cell, Frederik Ymeri is the father of the director of ADISA, Lorin Ymeri, raises big questions about the security of Albanian data, which have been violated from time to time. so far with the publication first of political affiliation through the patronage database and then with salaries and finally with telephone numbers and car license plates.
At the very least, Albanians need to know whether or not their data has fallen into the hands of unfriendly agencies through this spy cell with family ties to the person responsible for administering all data on Albanians and the institutions of this state.
Who is Lorin Ymeri
He initially became part of the Albanian administration as the head of the cabinet of the Ministry of Innovation and Public Administration under the leadership of Milena Harito during the period 2013-2017.
As he writes in his CV, after this task, Lorin Ymeri has also performed the task of "assistant to the Prime Minister for European integration issues". Lorin Ymeri headed ADISA from 2018 having in his hands a giant database with any information that has to do with the citizens of this country as well as the administration of the Albanian state.
