The United States Embassy in Tirana has officially announced the assumption of office by the new American Ambassador to Albania, Eric Wendt.

Through a post on social media, the Embassy shared footage from the moment the American flag was raised at the official residence, underlining that this will also strengthen relations between the two countries.

"A new chapter begins in Albania! The Navy Security Guard raised the American flag over the official residence, as Ambassador Wendt assumes his duties."

"Under President Trump, our alliances are stronger when we stand together, share responsibility, and build a more prosperous and secure future for both of our nations," the US Embassy in Tirana writes.
