Footballer Vedat Muriqi has spoken for the first time after the tense match between Romania and Kosovo.

The Kosovar striker said what happened in Bucharest affected him emotionally and morally.

"You honored us with this visit. As you said, it has been a difficult night for us, but I believe we have made the right decision as footballers and our federation. We were emotionally and morally affected there, because of that we made the decision not to go out on the pitch knowing that you would support us.

Thank you on behalf of the players for the support and everything you have done for the Republic of Kosovo", Muriqi said during the speech on behalf of footballers, where the Prime Minister of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, was present.
