UEFA has immediately released a brief announcement regarding the match between the Kosovo National Team and Romania, held on Friday night in Bucharest.
The match between Kosovo and Romania did not end like any other match, as the players from Dardan left the field in extra minutes, when the score was 0-0, after hearing racist and xenophobic chants such as "Serbia, Serbia" and "Kosovo is Serbia".
After the field was released, the Kosovo players and staff refused to return to the field and the Danish referee, Morten Krogh, returned with only the Romanian players to give the final whistle.
However, that was not all, as one of the Kosovo players was attempted to be attacked after the press conference, by a Romanian official who had an "all access" ID.
The epilogue of the match is not yet known, but UEFA has taken care that immediately after the match, a notice will be issued, indicating that the match has been suspended and further information will be communicated in due course.
"The League of Nations match between Romania and Kosovo has been interrupted. UEFA will communicate further information in due course," said the announcement after the match
