A minor incident briefly interrupted the match between Espanyol and Atletico Madrid during the second half: assistant referee Rodriguez Moreno suddenly found himself on his feet after being knocked down by Giuliano Simeone, who inadvertently tripped him while he was training near his bench. The Spanish referee ended up doing an incredible somersault, but immediately got back to his feet, giving the fans one of the most hilarious scenes of the week.
The referee found himself upside down and feet up in a split second, without even realizing what exactly happened. Fortunately, he managed to finish the match he was scheduled to play, despite the sudden fall that could have caused some back problems.
It was Giuliano Simeone who caused the winger's spectacular fall, who was following the action on the pitch by running along the touchline with a flag in his hand. The Atletico Madrid player was training near the bench when he suddenly found himself in the same trajectory as the referee: the Argentine inadvertently tripped him, causing a spectacular fall.

Mr. Rodriguez Moreno was running at high speed and for this reason his somersault was almost cinematic. He spun, fortunately without injury, and immediately got up, ending up for a moment with his feet in the air and his hands on the ground to support himself and regain his balance. From the bench, Simeone tried to get the attention of the main referee to stop the game for a while, but the assistant continued without any problems, becoming the protagonist of one of the strangest images of this week on the Internet.
