A shocking video on social media appears to show a Liverpool fan provoking Spaniard Pep Guardiola. The Manchester City manager reacts with threats and demands a physical confrontation with the fan, which was averted by the careful intervention of the Spaniard's entourage.
Guardiola suffered his sixth defeat in seven away games to Liverpool last weekend, leaving them 11 points behind Arne Slott's side. Manchester City's title defence is in a critical state. During the match, the manager faced relentless jeers from Anfield fans, who responded by holding up six fingers to show the number of Premier League titles he has won.
Now, a video shared by Liverpool fan account Spion Kop on X appears to show the Spaniard reacting to a fan on the street. The video, which seems unbelievable, was filmed outside the Embankment Kitchen in Manchester, after Guardiola and his team had returned from Merseyside. In the video, Guardiola is seen walking down the street when a person behind the camera says to him in a Liverpool accent: "Okay mate, only because you lost."
Guardiola then turns and reacts furiously, having to be held down by the three men who were accompanying him, as he shouts something unintelligible as he moves out of the way.
