Coach Sylvinho appeared at the press conference before the Ukraine-Albania match, valid for the Nations League, to comment on the situation of the red and black team, which will be missing due to injury the duo of the center of the European defense, Gjimshiti-Ajeti.
"It is a delicate moment for footballers. After a European, with very little rest, injuries happen. There are many matches, it is not easy. Many of the players have not taken a break. But it's an opportunity for other players," said Sylvinho.
Regarding the opponents, the coach said: "It is a very difficult group. We have seen Ukraine, coach Rebrov is good, they have very good players in the midfield, strong defense and an excellent goalkeeper. It is an organized team".
As for Uzun and Ismajli, who did not play a single minute in the European Championship, but gathered for the next two games, Sylvinho emphasized that he is not worried about whether or not they will be motivated for the Nations League.
"The National is always open and whoever comes has the right desire and motivation. If he doesn't want to play with the national team jersey, he doesn't come at all. Uzuni and Ismajli are very charged, I have no worries at all", emphasized Sylvinho.
"All the players are ready. We have a training session today. Arbër Hoxha has not yet started any match from the first minute, but we have been following him since March. That's where his journey to the National Team began. It's very important for the team, but we'll see," said the Brazilian.
When asked if he will play with the 4-2-3-1 or 4-3-3 scheme, Sylvinho answered: "For 1 and a half years we have played with 4-3-3 and 4-2-3-1 . We adapt the schemes according to the characteristics we have in the players. We can also work with the 4-4-2 scheme. Uzuni can play central striker. We have strong players. By knowing the characteristics of the players, we can also adapt the schemes".
The coach of Albania said that he does not enter the field for any other result than victory.
"I said it before, in the last match against Moldova, a draw was enough for us, but I don't think there is any coach who thinks about a draw. Always thinking about winning. We will enter the field to play very hard and get the most out of this match.
All the teams of the group have played in the European. There is the maximum. The League of Nations is different. I am worried because the players come with few games and few holidays. The important thing is that the players believe that the best should be given and the maximum received."
The Ukraine-Albania match will be played on Saturday, September 7.
