The American ambassador in Tirana, Yuri Kim, has reacted harshly, stating that efforts to damage the Justice Reform should no longer be accepted.
In a reaction on social networks, Kim indirectly responds to Ilir Meta, while saying that threats against prosecutors and judges should not be accepted as "normal", and that these behaviors do not belong to a NATO country that has opened negotiations with the EU.
"Threats to prosecutors and judges and other attempts to disrupt the Justice Reform in Albania should no longer be accepted as 'normal'. This behavior does not belong to a NATO country that has opened negotiations for EU membership and is sitting on the UN Security Council.
For too long, the rich and powerful have believed themselves to be untouchable. Now they are worried that their impunity may come to an end. As the Justice Reform is producing more and more results, it will become even clearer that no one is above the law," US Ambassador Yuri Kim wrote on Twitter.

Kim's reaction comes after SPAK announced today that it is investigating Ilir Meta for a denunciation made by former deputy Halit Valteri and through a letter from the head of the institution Arben Kraja, requested from the CEC the self-declaration form of the former President.
After this news, Ilir Meta reacted harshly, saying that "the party leader has decided to openly serve the mafia of incinerators in panic".
