MP Marjana Koçeku met with MEP Sandro Gozi at the European Parliament.
She begins the video message with the message "Albania is not for sale" while emphasizing that she strongly supports the civic movement in Albania, law enforcement, transparency, and democracy.
"Albania is not for sale. I am here in the European Parliament to bring the voice of thousands of Albanians who have been protesting for several weeks not only to express a simple dissatisfaction with the government and the prime minister but for a strong demand for democracy, transparency and the implementation of the law."
"The Albanian people, especially the young people, are protesting to express their desire and willingness to join the EU, but they believe that this must happen through democracy," says Koçek in her message.
MEP Gozi, for his part, said that Albania needs a prime minister who will not break the law and fight corruption, which are also the foundation of the EU.
"I am delighted to have met Marjana Koçeku in the European Parliament, a new member of the Albanian Parliament and strongly committed to supporting the civic movement in Albania, a movement that demands more transparency, respect for the law, and the fight against corruption.
"Albanians love Europe, Albania deserves a future in the EU, but they need a prime minister who will enforce the law, which is also the foundation of the EU, which is also at the heart of the civic movement," says Gozi.
