This Wednesday, the meeting of the new National Council of the Democratic Party, emerging from the May elections, is taking place.
The members of the National Council will elect the members of the Presidency of the Democratic Party. All interested parties will participate in this competition, from which only 20 members will be elected. The latter will be announced at the end of the meeting.
Another important point is the election of the chairman of the National Council. Thus, Edi Paloka, who has held this position until now, will be replaced.
"The Democratic Party strongly supports this movement, we will do everything to make it successful," emphasized Sali Berisha regarding the citizen protest that has been taking place in the capital for a month, while not mentioning the fact that citizens are also demanding his removal.
Berisha reiterated the historic mission of the right: the return of free voting. Thus, he called on Albanians not to miss the historic chance to help Generation Z, who is fighting not only for today's Albania, but also for the future.
"It is a betrayal of the ideals of freedom not to support this movement," he said.
"All social networks should be in their function because they are the digital generation. To post, to repost, to click... I also salute those bloggers who became an inspiration," added the leader of the DP.
