The Socialists are enjoying the last week of the official summer vacation, before getting to know the changes that Edi Rama has in mind for the government of the next four years. This time he has decided to leave everything for the end of the summer, keeping the Socialists in suspense.

On the last day of July, Prime Minister Edi Rama convened the government cabinet to take them on vacation and to schedule a meeting at the end of August. But the worsening situation with the fires and the damage they caused left several of the ministers who should have been on duty to manage the situation at work.

Others took advantage of the hot August days to soak up the sun on Albania's beaches, as ministers are forced to rest at home. Both young socialists and old ones have used social media for government work, publishing actions to free up public spaces and manage the fire situation.

In office or on vacation, everyone has been keeping an eye and ear out of the government villa in Dhërmi, to understand as many signals as possible about future political developments. Some ministers are waiting for reconfirmation, other socialists are waiting for promotion in government or party structures. But the common denominator is that no one is sure where they will serve politically in the next four years.

According to political tradition, the leftists await the Assembly, which will now be held at the end of August, where the Prime Minister will announce the Rama 4 cabinet, the changes in the party and the parliamentary group. Until the next meeting, the socialists have begun to make their calculations whether their commitment to the party can be rewarded with a position at the government headquarters, especially those who did not manage to renew the mandate of the deputy on April 25.

Even the MPs who were questioned in parliament have acknowledged the uncertainty. From 2013 to today, at the top of the list as the longest-serving ministers of Prime Minister Rama are Mirela Kumbaro with more than 9 years and Ogerta Manastirliu with 8 years./ A2 CNN
