Democratic Party MP Gazment Bardhi has denounced another serious violation during the voting process in the May 11 elections. In a Facebook post, Bardhi calls this episode “Controlled voting = electoral farce” and accuses that the elections were neither free nor fair, violating Article 1 of the Constitution, which stipulates that “governance is based on a system of free and fair elections.”

He states that the state has merged with the ruling party, which according to him, like "a terrorist gang", has violated the freedom of citizens to vote in secret and without control. According to Bardhi, official CEC footage shows how in VC 1813, Dushk administrative unit, Lushnje Municipality, SP patronage supporters controlled the voting of citizens.

The MP accuses Belinda Balluku of being the mastermind behind this scheme, claiming that only through mafia methods could every vote bought with corruption money be controlled. Bardhi emphasizes that citizens expect the punishment of those he calls "electoral terrorists" and calls on the justice system to act against electoral crime without turning a blind eye.

Article 1 of the Constitution of Albania stipulates that “government is based on a system of free and equal elections.” The May 11 elections were neither free nor equal.

Not only did the state merge with the ruling party, but the latter, like a terrorist gang, openly violated the freedom of voters to vote in secret and unmonitored.

Official CEC footage proves how in VC 1813, Dushk administrative unit, Lushnje Municipality, SP patronage supporters controlled citizens' voting on election day, violating their freedom to vote unchecked.

Belinda Balluku, the mastermind of this scheme, which extended to all polling stations with video cameras, was clear that only through mafia schemes could she control every vote bought with corruption money. Citizens expect the punishment of electoral terrorists, and it is the duty of the justice system not to turn a blind eye to electoral crime.
