Journalist Gazmend Saiti has commented on the appointment of the former Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure of Kosovo, Liburn Aliu , to the position of director of the Port of Durres.

Speaking on "Kosova Live", according to Saiti, this appointment has more of a political than a professional background and is seen as part of an ongoing effort by Albanian Prime Minister, Edi Rama , to have deeper access to information related to Albin Kurti's governance.

"The attempt has always been continuous on Rama's part to obtain as much information as possible regarding Albin Kurti's government. In the specific case of Liburn Ali, there may not be much information, but some sources say that he was the key person who had direct relations with Serbia within Kurti's government," declared Saiti.

According to him, for Rama this is a way to be more informed and maintain regional influence, including through figures who have been close to the Kosovo government.

" Just as he did earlier with the case of Vlorë Hyseni, now the same thing is happening with Liburn Aliu ," added Saiti, emphasizing that his appointment to the Port of Durres is political in nature.

"The position had a current director. The change was made only to politically hit Prime Minister Albin Kurti," he said.
