The pathos with the "defense" of the flag, which was trampled upon by

The Minister of Internal Affairs, Besfort Lamallari, shared on social media today a moment from the opposition protest in Tirana, where the officer of the "Eagles" unit, Edison Mehmetaj, was seen picking up the national flag thrown on the street.

Lamallari described his action as an example of courage and professionalism, emphasizing that in conditions of tension, the officer did not hesitate to preserve and exalt the national symbol.

The minister added that this gesture shows the difference between those who exploit events for tensions and those who respect law, order and the symbols of the country.

"Respect for Edison Mehmetaj, the 'Eagles' operative, who showed us the true difference between those who use the flag as a means of commerce and those who exalt this country and the most beautiful flag in the world," Lamallari wrote, while posting a video showing MP Xhelal Mziu stepping on the flag with his foot, without even realizing it.

It took so long for pro-government media to spread news about flag desecration "scandals".

An ugly pathos, considering who we are dealing with.

A Government that has broken records for corruption, that has a deputy prime minister on the run and another under investigation by SPAK and with a clear mandate to arrest, but that is politically protected by this Government, that has dozens of ministers and mayors in prison or under investigation for corruption affairs.

A Government that favors and constantly thinks about how to enrich its oligarchs and partners, not the people.

Look at the recent case of fuel prices and you'll understand.

Let's not even talk about justice, education, or healthcare, which are where the money is being spent and which are becoming the cause of the emptiness of this country.

The flag is not defended with words and pathos, but with deeds.

And these, just like the first ones, have torn that flag to pieces.
