Opposition protest with German flags

The German Embassy in Albania has reacted to the opposition protest the day before, condemning the violence, which it says is unacceptable.

Through a post on social media, the embassy emphasizes that protests are a fundamental right in any democratic society, but violence is unacceptable.

The embassy says it encourages responsible political parties to unequivocally distance themselves from violence.

Reaction of the German Embassy:

The German Embassy condemns the unacceptable violence during yesterday's demonstrations.

Political protests and the right to demonstrate are fundamental rights in any democratic society.

But they can never justify violence against persons or objects.

We ask the representatives of responsible political parties to unequivocally distance themselves from violence.
