The Chairman of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, was also asked at the conference about yesterday's clash between Prime Minister Edi Rama and former Foreign Minister, Elisa Spiropali, following the latter's public stances and non-participation in the session on Belinda Balluku's immunity.
According to the leading democrat, the SP has turned into a criminal party, and that together with the government cabinet, they have "lobbied" to protect former Deputy Prime Minister Balluku, accused by SPAK of tender abuses.
" That party today is more than ever a criminal party, that party today is a party that is a shield for the monstrous crimes against Albanians and the plunder that Rama, his criminal organization, commits of public funds and property. The party and the government have finally become corrupt, they are the last remnants of a regime that is doing everything to stay afloat, but that Albanians have decided to reject, " said Berisha.
We recall that the last debate between Rama and Spiropali took place yesterday during the Parliamentary Group meeting following the accusations raised by the former minister against the government and the Socialist Party.
Rama has given Spiropali an ultimatum, warning her that she must choose either to be with the SP or against it. The Prime Minister has asked her to stop posting on social networks against the SP or she will find herself expelled from the Parliamentary Group.
"Either with us, or in front of us, take a deep breath and understand what you have done ," Rama is reported to have said during the meeting without the media.
