The Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Belinda Balluku, has announced the approval of the agreement for the construction of the new Port of Durrës.

In a statement to the media, Balluku stated that the investment will be 2 billion euros and will take Albania to an international level. 

"Two billion euros will be the investment and the employment of 10-12 thousand people is expected. We take another step with the project for the New Tourist Port of Durrës, the largest foreign investment in the region, which will not only radically transform the city of Durrës, but it will take tourism in Albania to another international level, " stated Balluku.
