" Greece and Albania have centuries-old ties and we must focus on those points that unite our two peoples. The Greek minority is the inseparable connecting link between the two peoples. The contribution of Albanian immigrants has shown an enviable degree of integration into Greek society.

We discussed enlargement, it is the geopolitical need of the EU. Greece has been the vanguard of the idea of ​​the Western Balkans in the EU. We remain a driving force in this direction. Within the framework of the EU presidency, let us help by taking initiatives.

Greece remains consistent in its positioning towards the integration of the Western Balkans into the EU, based on the performances and reforms carried out. We welcome Albania's progress, which led to the opening of accession talks. Therefore, we appreciate the special care for respecting the rights of the Greek minority, which constitute a priority for us. There are opportunities for expanding qualitative and quantitative cooperation ", he stressed.
