At the Conference on the Right to Information, Prime Minister Rama considered the media as a "glass half empty".
It was journalist Eglantina Bardhi who responded to the head of government, calling him "better" than "kazan".
Meanwhile, Rama replied that that term was from 2017 and he has not used it since then. But according to him, it remained in his mind and that was the intention.
Rama stated that there will be no penalties for defamation for journalists, while for politicians, yes, they will face punishments, according to the Prime Minister.
"One thing that would be worth formulating is the article on the decriminalization of defamation for journalists, not for politicians and not for elected officials. Whoever is elected by the people should be punished if he slanders. This is our belief. Whoever works to inform the people about us, the elected officials, should slander without being punished," said Rama.
Eglantina Bardhi: I think you were better than other years with glass and not with black terms like "kazan".
Edi Rama : Kazan is a term of the year 2017, because it was an appropriate term it has remained in your mind. This was also the intention to remain in your mind. I have not mentioned it again, but it has remained in your mind. If you ask the Albanian people, they confirm it even today, of course it is not all kazan., But it is better to close this now.
