During the protest held this Monday in front of the Prime Minister's Office, the leader of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, stated that the main goal of the opposition is to occupy the square for three weeks, describing this as the most important form of resistance against the government.

"I guarantee you that the Democratic Party will do everything for the broadest possible front in this battle. I guarantee you that the DP will use all forms of resistance, all forms of resistance, until his departure. Which is the best, the most important. The occupation of this square for three weeks. This is it. This is where we must arrive. This is where we must swear. This is where the people sworn to save Albania must come. As the opposition, let us present to the Albanians the most excellent program we have ever presented ," Berisha said.

"The time is for the brave, the time is for sacrifice, and we are determined to sacrifice because we are within our rights, " declared Berisha, emphasizing that the opposition will give the prime minister "the answer he deserves."

He accused the government of blocking justice and continuing thefts, describing the situation as unprecedented. Berisha announced that the 22nd would mark the start of a general national protest, where according to him "the streets of Tirana will ring with the call: go away thief, because your time is up."

The leader of the Democratic Party guaranteed that the party will work to create the broadest possible opposition front and that "all forms of resistance and persistence" will be used until the prime minister is removed from power.

Berisha called on citizens to be engaged and "sworn" to save Albania, their families and their future, emphasizing that the opposition has presented the best program ever, but the elections, according to him, were turned into a farce by money, violence and political terror.
