Prime Minister Edi Rama today dismissed Arben Ahmetaj from the post of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Reconstruction.

Belinda Balluku has been appointed instead of Arben Ahmetaj, Rama announced the news through a post on Twitter. 

" Energy as the most colossal challenge of this period and infrastructure as an uninterrupted national challenge, have become today intensive relations with governments and international institutions. Time for the role of the Deputy Prime Minister to focus on these areas. Belinda Balluku becomes deputy prime minister "

VoxNews had warned several months ago of the dismissal of Arben Ahmetaj, after the cooling off with Rama had come due to the suspicion that he had "spyed" for the incinerators. 

It seems that Rama waited yesterday just a few hours before the swearing in of the new president, Bajram Begaj, to sign Ahmetaj's dismissal.

The fear of a blockage of non-signing of the decree by the former president Meta made Rama to put up with Ahmatej for a few more months even though the prime minister could hardly bear it. 

Arben Ahmetaj already seems to have 3 solutions to continue or not his political career:

1. Will the 'tiger' Ahmetaj become part of the LSI convention ?

2. Will he be the 'il pendito' of politics in case SPAK takes Ahmetaj as a defendant ?

3. Will he continue to be a simple deputy until the end of his mandate and then leave politics ?
