The Tirana police have rejected the Democratic Party's request to hold a protest on the boulevard "Dëshmorët e Kombit" on December 6, the same day when the EU-Western Balkans summit will be held in Tirana.

According to the Police, the protest in that place that day hinders the normal development of the Summit and poses a real risk to national and public security.

In the document addressed to the PD, all the roads in Tirana are defined within the security perimeter for the EU-Western Balkans Summit, while the development of the protest is allowed outside the security perimeter.

It remains to be seen whether PD will choose to hold the protest outside the center of Tirana, or will act in opposition to the Police.
