Albanians are not only leaving, but they are finally abandoning the country. Today, President Bajram Begaj signed the decree for the relinquishment of Albanian citizenship.

From this decree, 75 former Albanian citizens have given up their country's passport. According to statistics, more than 521 thousand Albanian citizens have obtained the citizenship of one of the countries of the European Union in the last 20 years.
