The chairman of the DP parliamentary group, Gazment Bardhi, reacted to the statements of Lulzim Basha in the conference with journalists this afternoon.

Bardhi holds Basha responsible for leaving the Democratic Party in the opposition for 12 years as he accuses Basha of declaring 60,000 members of the party dead just because they express opposition to go from failure to failure. Bardhi emphasizes that Basha "has not made any report to the prosecutor's office against the Government and no denunciation against the Government, which has been walking around like a mute for 5 months without saying anything about the political reality, even though the country is slipping into authoritarianism".

"Making a manual on how to become the opposition is a key responsibility that left the party in opposition for 12 years, that today declared 60 thousand party members dead just because they express opposition to go from failure to failure, the opposition deputy who has since March 21, 2022 does not come to the Assembly, who has not made any report to the prosecutor's office against the Government and no denunciation against the Government, who has been walking around like a mute for 5 months without saying anything about the political reality, even though the country is slipping into authoritarianism, it is laughable and to cry at the same time", writes Bardhi.

In his reaction, Bardhi says that the time of awakening the opposition by remote control has long ended and that the opposition is in battle with Rama's regime while adding that battle is the only form of confrontation with a regime. Bardhi writes that they have been listening to the empty lectures on the opposition for 12 years as he says that Albania needs change and this can only be achieved by being truthful first.

"The time of waking up the opposition by remote control has ended a long time ago. The opposition is in battle with Edi Rama's regime and battle is the only form of confrontation with a regime. We have been listening to empty lectures about the opposition for 12 years, and the reality when you wake up from your deep sleep is that Rama continues to be Prime Minister! Albania needs change and this can only be achieved by being truthful first", Bardhi concludes his reaction.
