The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, announced that on August 26 he had a telephone conversation with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia, Sergey Lavrov.
Vucic said that he informed the head of Russian diplomacy about the situation in Kosovo. Among other things, he has made statements with territorial claims against Kosovo.
"I informed him of the ongoing efforts to expel our population from centuries-old hearths, as well as the silence of the majority of the international community."
According to Vucic, the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina was also a topic of conversation.
"We discussed the situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina, the crisis caused from abroad, with constant attacks on (entity) Republika Srpska," Vucic wrote on Instagram.
Earlier, after the decision in Bosnia and Herzegovina to remove Milorad Dodik's mandate as president of that entity, he had stated that Belgrade "will always stand by our people and Republika Srpska".
Dodik was stripped of his mandate after being sentenced to one year in prison and six years of detention for exercising public functions, due to non-compliance with the decisions of the High Representative in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This pro-Russian leader, who leads the main Serb party in Bosnia, enjoys Moscow's support.
